Project Overview

The International Ramayana Conclave, organized by the International Ramayan & Vedic Research Institute (IRVRI), Ayodhya, is a prestigious cultural and scholarly initiative dedicated to promoting the timeless values, traditions, and global relevance of the Ramayana. The conclave brings together renowned scholars, artists, performers, cultural ambassadors, and devotees from India and abroad to celebrate the rich heritage of Lord Rama through academic discussions, cultural performances, folk traditions, and spiritual exchanges.
The objective of this project was to undertake comprehensive video and photographic documentation of the International Ramayana Conclave and its associated cultural programmes conducted across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Nepal. The assignment focused on capturing the diverse artistic expressions inspired by the Ramayana, including classical and folk dance performances, theatrical presentations, musical recitals, Ramleela productions, seminars, exhibitions, and cultural interactions involving national and international participants.
The documentation process involved professional event coverage, high-resolution photography, multi-camera videography, interviews, behind-the-scenes recordings, and the creation of a structured visual archive. Special emphasis was placed on documenting the cultural diversity, spiritual significance, and cross-border heritage connections that unite communities through the shared legacy of the Ramayana.
The project aimed to create a permanent visual repository that preserves the cultural and historical significance of the conclave while supporting future research, educational initiatives, cultural promotion, and public outreach. The final deliverables included curated photo archives, documentary films, event highlights, promotional content, and digital records that showcase the enduring influence of the Ramayana tradition across India and Nepal.
Through this documentation initiative, the project contributes to the preservation and dissemination of one of the world's most influential cultural narratives, strengthening cultural ties and promoting the universal values of righteousness, devotion, harmony, and human dignity embodied in the Ramayana.
